Gamedevtuts+ joins Psdtuts+, Vectortuts+, Audiotuts+, Aetuts+, Activetuts+, Cgtuts+, Mobiletuts+, Phototuts+, Webdesigntuts+, Wptuts+, Mactuts+ and Nettuts+ as Envato’s newest Tuts+ site.

Gamedevtuts+ is a site dedicated to game developers, with tutorials, tips, and articles about level layout, game design, coding, and working in the industry. We walk you through how to create games from scratch, go into the theory behind game development, level and character design, discuss working in the industry, and much more!

Whether you’re completely new to game development or you’re a seasoned pro, we’ve got you covered! Keep reading to learn a little bit more about the new editor of Gamedevtuts+ and what we’ll be offering on the site.

We’ll be publishing a combination of step-by-step written tutorials and screencasts/video lessons. In most weeks we’ll be publishing 4-5 high quality tutorials, tips, and articles, so make sure to subscribe to the Gamedevtuts+ RSS feed so you don’t miss a thing.

If you’re an experienced game developer and you have the skills to create a screencast or text and image tutorial for Gamedevtuts+, it’s easy to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and pitch your idea. We’d love to help you pass on your experience, and pay great money for tutorials.

Meet the Editor, Michael James Williams

Michael couldn’t be more qualified to head up Gamedevtuts+, and I hope you’re looking forward to getting to know him more over the next few months!
